About Bondslave Biker Ministry Motorcycle Club Bondslave started in 1989 as a Christian motorcycle club; it was later that "Biker Ministry" was added into the name to define our purpose as a ministry. Our mission statement reads: "A ministry team whose purpose is to seek out opportunity to witness about Jesus as Saviour and Lord. Evangelistic in purpose and action using the motorcycle as an instrument to build bridges into relationships." So what is a “Bondslave”?Although our club is known as the Bondslave not many understand it's origin. Where did we, as a Christian brotherhood, derive its name? After all, any club worth it's credibility does not just draw names out of a hat, right? There has to be some sort of underlying meaning and substance to it. So where does it begin? In the Bible of course. In ancient Hebrew times, a slave would serve his/her master for a total of 6 years. In the 7th year of his/her servant ship the master was required to set the slave free. (This can be found in Deuteronomy 15:12) However, if the slave loved his/her master (not all slaves were abused) they could then refuse to leave the service of their master. (Deut. 15:16) The master would then punch an awl through the slave's ear into a door post. (Deut.15: 17, Ouch!) This would be confirmation to all that the slave was now a BONDSERVANT or BONDSLAVE to the master forever. We, who are members of the Bondslave M.C. believe in this ancient ritual in a spiritual and personal way. We are called Bondslave not Bondslave's as it is an individual’s own choice to serve Our Lord. We personally choose to live for and serve Our Lord Jesus Christ. As a servant of Jesus, He gives us the freedom to walk away anytime, but we have chosen to be HIS Bondslave, a servant forever. As his servants, we are here for you. The biking community. We don't desire to be "like this club" or "that group". We are our own. Wanting to reach out on behalf of Christ and build bridges into relationships. Everyone within our ranks has been down a hard path and has found the loving peace, forgiveness, and grace of God. Their only desire in this life is to share that with you. Regardless of your color's, stripes, gender, race, bike, etc.
We accomplish our mission by attending swap meets, bike shows, bike rallies and going almost anywhere other bikers can be found. We might help in their bike games or sharpen their knives or provide free coffee, but the purpose is to build relationships with them. In this manner we earn respect and destroy the false ideas that they may have about Christians. Often they ask us about Jesus before we even approach them. We share the same love for motorcycles as they do but our hearts and lives are driven by a greater love for Jesus. Our message to others is simple, "Jesus loves bikers too." ![]()
